by Kofi Ayim

Buttressing his assertion with success stories of first generation Ghanaian inventors and innovators such as Dr. Victor Lawrence and Dr. Thomas Mensah with patents, Dr. Ohene Frimpong, in the field of medicine and Prof. Kwabena Boahen in the field of neuromorphic computing among others, the community conspicuous attorney inferred that the US has benefitted from immigrants and anything otherwise cannot be factual.

In a welcome address City Council Member Vanessa L. Gibson recounted the role and contributions of the over thirty thousand people of Ghanaian descent that live in the City. Dr. Yaw Nyarko of the New York University and Ms. Martha Ama Akyaa Pobee, Ghana’s Permanent Representative to the U.N. were honored by the City Council.
