A man was ‘buried’ standing while holding a football in Ghana, whose funeral service sector has adopted a new method of preserving corpses.
The trend of burying the dead in life-like positions has long been practised in some European nations and the Americas.
It is now catching on in the west African country, and was done for former Ghanaian Black Stars footballer George Arthur, who died in June.
King George, as he was fondly called, suffered a heart attack while playing a game of draughts with his friends, and died upon arrival at Sunyani government hospital.
