Andre Ayew satisfied brother, Jordan, proving his worth

ordan Ayew gave an inspiring second half performance at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations as Ghana defeated Tunisia 2-1 to reach the semi-final on Sunday.
The 20 year-old Olympique Marseille player came on a second half substitute and injected much energy into the Black Stars attack with brother, Andre, who scored the match winner in extra-time expressing satisfaction with Jordan’s contribution.

After a slow start against Botswana when Jordan made his tournament debut, the younger Ayew seems to have found his feet in the competition.
“I am very happy for him,” Andre said about his brother’s performance. “I think it’s normal. What can you expect from a player who is 20 years and plays for Olympique Marseille, a side that plays Champions League football.”

Andre hopes his brother, a teammate with the French side goes on to prove his mettle in the competition.
“You can only wait for things like this and it’s normal that if he doesn’t do well, people hit him. It’s not the matter of the age but it’s the matter of the character and the pressure that he undergoes in Europe.

“I think he handled this pressure very well. He has proved to everyone that he is a player going to become a great player and I hope that he is going to continue like that till the end of the tournament.”
