Wrong way vehicle kills a Ghanaian woman.

A deadly multiple vehicular accident claimed the life of Hannah Ayeh-Brachie, 56, a Ghanaian entrepreneur July 23 along the Tappan Zee Bridge of route I-87, New York. Ms. Ayeh-Brachie who was in the passenger seat was reported to have died on the scene. Several people were seriously injured, including the husband of the deceased Newman Ayeh-Brachie. He has however, since been released from hospital. The Ayeh-Brachies were driving to their Hillcrest home up north after work from New York City, when their Nissan vehicle was slammed head on by a south-bound SUV in the northbound roadway. The wrong way vehicle was being driven by  a 69 year old man. The Nissan was reported to have rolled several times before coming to rest upside down, on its roof.  

A family spokesman Mr. Anyane Yeboah said Ms. Ayeh-Brachie who had a Hair Salon Parlor and an African produce outlet – Tema Food Market – in the Bronx lived in Rockland County. Mr. Newman Ayeh-Brachie is an employee of MTA New York City Transit. The couple from Brakwa in the Central Region of Ghana has four children. Traditional Funeral rites would be held August 30 at the Gauchos Gym, 478 Gerard Avenue in the Bronx.
