Ghana’s President John Atta Mills dies

News of the death of Ghana’s President John Fiifi Atta Mills was reported in Ghana’s JoyFM on Tuesday, July 24. Dr. Mills who was reported yesterday to be getting ready for a trip to Nigeria celebrated his 68th birthday on July 21.

The deceased was elected in 2008 as Ghana’s president on the ticket of the country’s National Democratic Congress (NDC). His tenure was marked with controversy, including the payment of judgment debts to Alfred Woyome and CP among other companies in the country.
